As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cafe operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day activities, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will lead by example, motivating and guiding our team members to uphold our commitment to quality and service. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Management: Recruit, train, and supervise cafe staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Create staff schedules, manage payroll, and handle any staffing issues or conflicts that may arise. Customer Service Excellence: Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and valued. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the customer. Operations Management: Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining appropriate stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and cafe policies and procedures. Monitor cafe cleanliness and presentation, maintaining a visually appealing environment for customers. Financial Management: Manage cafe finances, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization. Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for increasing profitability and improving efficiency. Implement strategies to drive sales growth and meet financial targets. Menu Development and Quality Control: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine menu offerings, ensuring a diverse selection of high-quality food and beverages. Maintain consistency in food and beverage preparation, presentation, and portion sizes, adhering to established standards of quality. Qualifications: Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with customers and staff. Solid understanding of cafe operations, including inventory management, food safety, and sanitation practices. Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, cost analysis, and sales forecasting. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Food safety certification and/or other relevant certifications are a plus.
